Mumbai planet’s seventh most polluted city: Swiss air monitor IQAir

Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata were ranked the 4th, 7th, and 10th most polluted cities in the world on Monday, according to IQAir. Mumbai's air quality has been unhealthy for more than three consecutive days. The forecast predicts slightly improved air quality but still advises vulnerable groups to avoid heavy exertion outdoors, wear masks, and use air purifiers at home. The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board has ordered strict action against ready-mix concrete plants that violate anti-pollution guidelines. Internationally, Lahore and Beijing were among the top five most polluted cities, while Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India were among the most polluted countries.
