Siddaramaiah: No change, I'll remain Karnataka CM for 5 years

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has dismissed rumors of a possible leadership change, stating that he plans to remain in office for the full five-year term. Some MLAs and ministers close to deputy CM DK Shivakumar had spoken about a potential change in leadership after two and a half years. Siddaramaiah also addressed speculation about appointing three more deputy chief ministers, stating that such decisions are made by the high command of the Congress party. He added that attempts by the BJP to destabilize his government will not succeed.
