94 hard-to-get Eden seats to go empty as India face SA

IndiaTimes Saturday, 4 November 2023
Kolkata Police has seized tickets for the India-South Africa match that were being sold on the black market at inflated prices. As a result, at least 94 seats will remain empty at the Eden Gardens stadium. The police have stated that the seized tickets will not be returned to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as they are crucial evidence for the court case against the black marketeers. The demand for tickets has been high due to the popularity of the World Cup and the opportunity to watch Virat Kohli play on his birthday.
