A 20-year-old nursing student and her male friend died after setting themselves on fire in her apartment in Bengaluru. The student, Soumini Das, had distanced herself from her husband and had become friends with Abhil Abraham, a nurse from Kerala. The police found no suicide notes but discovered empty petrol bottles, indicating that it was a suicide. The exact reason behind their extreme step is unknown, and the police will be investigating further by speaking to their family and checking their messages.
