Mahadev betting scandal now linked to cricket match-fixing

IndiaTimes Monday, 13 November 2023
Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, key players in the Mahadev app betting racket, are now accused of being involved in a match-fixing syndicate through a subsidiary app called Mahadev Khiladi. An FIR has been filed against them by the Maharashtra Police. The network operates in various cities, including London, Kolkata, Mumbai, and parts of Chhattisgarh, dealing in Bitcoins. Chandrakar and Uppal, who are currently in Dubai, deny the allegations and claim to be cooperating with the authorities. The Maharashtra Economic Offences Wing may take over the investigation into the Khiladi App, including alleged match-fixing links.
