Hyderabad doctor loses Rs 19.7 lakh in part-time online job fraud

A doctor from Hyderabad lost Rs 19.7 lakh to cyber fraudsters after being lured by a part-time job offer. The fraudsters contacted him through the Telegram app and asked him to review products and share screenshots of completed tasks. They asked him to deposit money for each task and showed him a virtual account with fake profits. When he tried to withdraw the money, they asked for more citing various reasons. The doctor realized he had been cheated and filed a complaint with the police. A case has been registered under IPC section 420 and section 66-D of the IT Act.
