The Odisha government has instructed district collectors to ensure bank linkage for Mission Shakti Groups (MSGs) involved in Mukhya Mantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan (MUKTA) projects. The Housing and Urban Development department has written to collectors and urban local bodies (ULBs) to streamline the execution of MUKTA projects. The government announced interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh for MSGs to empower women self-help groups (SHGs). A special drive involving MSGs and bankers will facilitate on-the-spot sanction of bank loans and raise awareness about interest subvention benefits.
