Air Pollution: As gloom continues to surround Delhi, rain only immediate hope

IndiaTimes Monday, 27 November 2023
Delhi's air quality remains very poor with an average AQI of 396. Some areas, like Ashok Vihar, Jahangirpuri, and Wazirpur, recorded severe air quality. Light rain is expected to bring relief, but the IITM's air quality warning system predicts very poor air quality from 27.11.2023 to 29.11.2023. The dominant surface wind is likely from the northeast with a speed of 4-16 kmph. Biomass burning contributes 1.6% to PM2.5 levels. The ventilation index is expected to be 2,700 m2/s on Monday and 4,300 m2/s on Tuesday.
