Will take 4-6 months to put tunnel project back on track: Official

NHIDCL expects 4-6 months to restore the Silkyara tunnel project after a collapse occurred on the Silkyara side. Mechanical methods will be used to remove debris and repair the cavity on both sides of the tunnel's crown. The inner lining will be reprofiled, focusing on the section of the collapse. The investigation into the collapse will proceed alongside tunnel construction. The ministry will assess the responsible company and the system for preventing future incidents. The borehole left by vertical drilling will be filled.
