India keeping close tabs on China-Pak collusion in the IOR, revising plans: Navy chief
India updates plans to counter China's expanding naval presence in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). China has a sustained presence in the IOR with 6-8 warships at any given time, in addition to research vessels and fishing vessels. Pakistan is expanding its Navy with China's help. India constantly revises its plans and capability-development programs in response to these developments. The Indian Navy aims to have 175 warships with increased aircraft and helicopters by 2035.
