Congress asks DK Shivakumar to keep Rajasthan, Telangana MLAs safe

Exit polls predict a hung verdict in Rajasthan and a photo finish in Telangana, bringing resort politics back into the game. Congress has asked KPCC president and deputy CM DK Shivakumar to protect its MLAs from poaching attempts by BJP and BRS. Shivakumar and the state unit are identifying resorts and star hotels to house the MLAs, with additional requirements for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Shivakumar is willing to work as per the party directives. In 2019, he successfully kept Congress MLAs together amid poaching attempts after the hung assembly in Karnataka.
