The state has 26 major tribes and over 100 sub-tribes, each with their own diverse culture. The government is digitizing museums and introducing tribal dialects in school curriculum. Efforts are underway to include Thembang village and Apatani Cultural Landscape in UNESCO world heritage sites. INTACH is dedicated to conserving India's intangible heritage and involving citizens in cultural conservation. Collaboration is needed to document oral traditions and culturally significant sites.
