How effective is single-use plastic ban after a year? Delhi govt plans study

Delhi government initiates study to quantify benefits and barriers of single-use plastic (SUP) ban implementation. Consultancy firm engaged to identify and quantify SUP items in use, estimate plastic waste generation, categorize items based on usage and recycling, propose alternatives, and conduct economic and feasibility analyses. Study will also suggest market models for entrepreneurship in manufacturing and distributing alternatives, roadmap for restriction and promotion of alternatives, and new technology for plastic collection and recycling.
