Delhi leads metropolitan cities in homicide cases

In 2022, crimes against women and murders increased in Delhi. The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data shows an 11% rise in murders, with 509 cases in 2022 compared to 459 in 2021. Crimes against women rose to 14,158 in 2022 from 13,982 in 2021. Overall, more than 3 lakh criminal cases were filed in the city, a 4% increase. Delhi topped the list for murders, crimes against women, and total cases among 19 metros.
