Family unleashes dogs on power department collecting dues
Friday, 8 December 2023 A routine visit by electricity officials to collect overdue bills turned violent when a family in Bulandshahr unleashed their pet dogs on them. The officials from PVVNL had visited the house to recover a pending bill of over Rs 3.5 lakh. The family not only refused to pay but also beat the officials with sticks and released their German Shepherd and Labrador on them. One official sustained injuries from the dog attack and beating, while others suffered minor injuries. An FIR has been registered against the family.
The second phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh on April 26 holds high stakes for several prominent faces, including actress Hema Malini, actor Arun Govil, and former BSP leader Danish Ali. In the eight constituencies going to polls – Amroha, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, and Mathura – unemployment has emerged as a major concern, with youth expressing anger over recruitment exam paper leaks and lack of job opportunities.
