2 sons donate kidneys to each other’s mothers in international swap

Two sons from Mumbai and Mwanza in Tanzania donated their kidneys to each other's mothers in an India-Tanzania swap transplant. The swap transplant was carried out simultaneously at Nanavati Max Hospital and Sushrut Hospital in Mumbai. The families were matched through the Apex Swap Transplant Registry, and the surgeries took place on December 4. The sons will be discharged soon, while their mothers may need a little more time to recover.
