UP BJP MLA convicted of rape, set to lose House seat

BJP MLA Ramdular Gond is found guilty of raping a 15-year-old girl in 2014 and faces punishment under the Pocso Act. The court will announce the sentence on December 15. Gond, a first-time MLA, is taken into custody after his conviction by additional district judge Ehsan Ullah Khan. He is expected to lose his assembly membership as per the Supreme Court's ruling.
