Techie trying to sell used bed online shares OTPs with 'buyer', loses Rs 68 lakh

A 39-year-old engineer lost Rs 68 lakh to cybercrooks while trying to sell a used bed on OLX. This incident marks the largest amount scammed in this manner in the Bengaluru. The engineer posted an advertisement on OLX to sell his bed for Rs 15,000. He received a call from someone claiming to be a furniture store owner and expressing interest in buying the bed. The scammer tricked the engineer into sending him money in increments, resulting in a total loss of Rs 68.6 lakh over three days.
