Chhattisgarh Congress faces wave of resignations amid post-defeat upheaval

Former MLA Chunnilal Sahu resigns as vice-president of Chhattisgarh Congress, becoming the third member to do so after the party's defeat in the assembly elections. Former legislator Mohit Kerkatta and senior Congress leader Mahant Ram Sundar Das have also resigned from the party. Kerkatta was denied a ticket to contest the 2023 elections, while Das had unsuccessfully contested the recent assembly election. Congress has expelled two former legislators and blamed senior leaders for the defeat.
