I-T raids at West Bengal MLA's home, offices

On Wednesday, income tax teams conducted searches at seven locations in West Bengal's Murshidabad district associated with Sagardighi MLA Bayron Biswas. Biswas, who serves as a director for at least seven companies, has declared assets exceeding Rs 20 crore. For the financial year 2021-22, Biswas reported an income of Rs 54 lakh, while his wife declared Rs 41 lakh. The IT officials carried out the raid at Biswas's residence in Samserganj early in the morning.
