BJP relaunches 'Sneha Yatra' to connect with Christians in Kerala
Thursday, 21 December 2023 The BJP in Kerala has resumed its 'Sneha Yatra' outreach programme aimed at connecting with the Christian community ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. BJP state chief K Surendran visited Cardinal George Alencherry and Archbishop Joseph Kalathiparbil to convey Christmas greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The objective of the yatra is to bring the Christian community closer to the party, and party leaders and workers will visit Christian homes with the message from the Prime Minister till December 30.

On April 28, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to revise the content of its Lok Sabha campaign song to adhere to the Advertising Codes outlined in the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994, and ECI guidelines. The AAP was requested to make necessary modifications to the song and resubmit it for certification. “The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” showing an aggressive mob holding the photo of Arvind Kejriwal showing him behind bars, casts aspersions on the Judiciary. Further, the said phrase appears several times in the advertisement which contravenes the provisions of ECI Guidelines and Rule 6(1(g) of Programme and Advertising Codes prescribed under the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994” (DISPLAY) said ECI.
