Martyred Armyman was to wed in March
Two Army personnel from Uttarakhand, Rifleman Gautam Kumar (29) and Rifleman Birendra Singh (33), were among the five who tragically lost their lives in a terror attack in Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir. Gautam Kumar, who hailed from Kotdwar in Pauri Garhwal district, had recently resumed duty after a 15-day leave and was eagerly looking forward to his wedding in March. His brother shared, "We had an engagement ceremony in Rishikesh this September, and the family was eagerly preparing for his wedding scheduled for March 11. The news of his sudden demise late on Thursday has left us all in shock."
