Health officials asked to ensure availability of ventilators, oxygen cylinders amid surge in JN.1 Covid variant cases

The surge in cases of the JN.1 covid variant is a new concern for the government and citizens. Maharashtra Minister Sanjay Bansode instructed health officials to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and take precautionary measures. The meeting in Latur focused on ensuring the availability of equipment and medicines at government-run facilities. Collector Varsha Thakur-Ghuge, CEO Anmol Sagar, Superintendent Somay Munde, Commissioner Babasaheb Manohare, and other officials attended the meeting. Till December 21, 22 cases of the JN.1 variant have been reported in the country.
