Jharkhand: Naxal arrested, five rifles seized
In Jharkhand's Garhwa district, a Naxal associated with the banned Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) was apprehended, named Manoj Ram. He was implicated in a skirmish between police and JJMP militants on December 17, resulting in injuries to a police station in-charge. The arrest, made in the Ranka police station area, led to the confiscation of five rifles, including an INSAS rifle, and several cartridges. The seized firearms highlight the ongoing security challenges posed by Naxal activities in the region.
