Covid claims 82-year-old; 1st such death in Ahmedabad this year

An 82-year-old woman with diabetes, hypertension, TB, and pulmonary disease passed away from Covid in Ahmedabad. This is the first Covid death in the city since mid-November 2022. The woman had flu-like symptoms including cough and fever and was hospitalized due to her age. Two new Covid cases were recorded in the city, bringing the total number of active cases to 35. The cases include a man and a woman in Sarkhej and Ranip. The city has started random rapid antigen tests to detect cases early.
