Car goes into a tailspin, crashes into pole; 1 dead, another critical in Delhi's Civil Lines

A 20-year-old woman was killed and a 62-year-old man critically injured after being hit by a speeding car in north Delhi. The driver, Hans Jain, a resident of Shakti Nagar, lost control of the vehicle while driving to Chawri Bazar. He hit Subhash, who was walking on the road, and then collided with a pole, fatally knocking down Purnima Kumari. Jain fled the scene but was later arrested. Kumari, a health agent at a private hospital, was collecting samples and Subhash, a retired police official, was on his morning walk.
