Joint inspection at Seawoods site where 125 mangroves were hacked

A joint inspection led by the tehsildar Yuvraj Bangar visited various sites at Nerul-Seawoods area to check complaints of mangrove destruction, blocking of sluice gates, and construction of towers near TS Chanakya waterbody. An FIR will be lodged for hacking 125 mangroves. The officials decided to reopen sluice gates and fence off the construction site to protect the mangroves and wetlands. The 'Chalo Chanakya' citizens movement continues to raise awareness and remove trash from the mangroves. The case against the golf course and proposed buildings is pending in the Supreme Court.
