'Democracy strong because Mughals ruled India', says Nitish minister
A senior minister in the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar claims that democracy in India is strong because of the Mughal rule. He states that the Mughals did not rob the country but promoted Islam. The minister disapproves of the BJP's politicization of the Ram temple and urges the government to address issues of inflation and unemployment. He expresses surprise at the BJP taking credit for the temple while unrest is rising. The minister denies reports of the JD(U) weakening and asserts that the party is fully united.
