3 years on, National Medical Commission makes public assets of 7 of its 33 members

IndiaTimes Monday, 8 January 2024
After dragging its feet for three years, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has finally uploaded the assets declaration of seven members on its website. NMC has, however, uploaded assets of only the chairperson, presidents of four autonomous boards of the commission - UG Medical Education Board, PG Medical Education Board, Medical Assessment & Rating Board and Ethics & Medical Registration Board - and full time members of the boards. However, NMC Act mandates that all 33 members - chairperson, ten ex-officio members and 22 part-time members, declare their assets on the commission's website.
