Friday, 12 January 2024 Senior Congress leader Karan Singh has declined an invitation to attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Mandir on January 22 due to medical reasons. Singh, who is nearing 93, stated in his letter that he would be unable to attend the event. However, he mentioned that his family in Jammu and Kashmir will be organizing a special celebration at the Sri Raghunath Temple in Jammu. Earlier, the Congress had also turned down the invitation, calling the ceremony a "BJP/RSS event."
