Sunday, 14 January 2024 While the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) will kick in uniformly across the country, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) β which lays down the updated procedures and time-limits for criminal investigation and trial and also requires full digital integration of all arms of the criminal justice system including courts β may see a staggered rollout, with the police commissionerates being the first to implement the fully-updated criminal justice system.
