A shocking incident unfolded in the Chakeri area on Sunday evening when a local goon and his accomplices allegedly beat a paani puri vendor to death after he refused to provide them with free food. The victim, identified as Prem Chandra, a 40-year-old resident of Kanpur Dehat, was returning home when he was confronted by Dheeraj, a notorious local goon, and his four aides. According to eyewitnesses, Dheeraj and his companions demanded free paani puri from Prem, but he firmly declined their request.
