ECI demands action after theft of Demo EVM in Pune

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has written to state chief secretary Nitin Kareer directing the suspension of three sub-district officials after a demo Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) was stolen from the strong room in Puneβs Saswad tehsil. Concerns about EVM security have been raised ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
