Indian female academic gets £450k payout following race discrimination at Portsmouth university

Portsmouth University must pay £450,000 for racially discriminating against Dr Kajal Sharma, an Indian academic, who was not reappointed as the associate head of organisational studies and human resource management. Her line manager showed insensitivity by contacting her during her father's funeral and failed to provide support when her baby son was critically ill.
