Priyanshu Dhara, a thalassaemia patient, underwent a successful stem cell transplant at NRS Medical College & Hospital in Bengal. The procedure, a haploidentical allogeneic transplant, used his brother as the donor. This is a significant achievement for thalassaemia treatment in government hospitals.
