Tribal's tipoff helps Gadchiroli cops detect cooker bomb, saves lives

Information shared by a tribal about an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a pressure cooker saved at least a dozen police personnel from Kurkheda taluka in Maoist-affected Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra on Monday. Based on the informer's input, Gadchiroli police's bomb detection and disposal squad managed to detect and safely detonate the 'cooker bomb', planted to inflict maximum casualties on security forces.
