Left-wing extremism-hit districts down from 72 to 58: MHA

According to official sources and records, the number of Left wing extremism (LWE)-hit districts in the country covered by the special SRE funding scheme has been reduced from 72 to 58 following a "comprehensive" review by the Union home ministry and the ten afflicted states. These districts are categorised under two broad heads -- LWE-affected and Legacy and Thrust districts.
