Shelter home kids not visited by kin to be added to adoption pool
Central Adoption Resource Authority (Cara) introduces a new process to include children from child care institutions as 'no visitation' and 'unfit guardian' categories for adoption. States and UTs to expedite registrations under Supreme Court directives. Over 9,000 children identified in new categories, with 11,546 in 'orphan, abandoned, and surrendered' category. Data submission deadline to Ministry is April 8.
