MP prof attacked with chilli powder, thrashed over scholarship row

An assistant professor at a govt college in MP's Betul was allegedly thrashed by six men, including two students, on Friday because the college refused their demand to rush through a girl student's scholarship application. The victim, Sanskrit teacher Neeraj Dhakad, is in hospital with a fractured elbow. The attackers threw chilli powder into his eyes and beat him with sticks.
