Kerala mourns as 8 victims laid to rest, only a number marking their graves

Eight unidentified landslide victims were buried at Puthumala with multi-faith prayers. The disaster had previously destroyed two villages and led to 381 deaths. Rescue and search operations continued with new technologies deployed. Concrete poles marked the graves, and DNA samples collected for identification. Police increased security due to theft reports and volunteers continued food distribution amidst controversies.
