Case awaits closure: 17 years ago, a doctor was drugged, raped & left for dead in a Delhi hospital

In September 2007, Dr. Kavita was found unconscious with severe injuries in a west Delhi hospital after being drugged and sexually assaulted. The case, initially perceived as a suicide attempt, led to public outcry and subsequent investigation. Despite comprehensive inquiries, suspects remained elusive. Dr. Kavita succumbed to her injuries after seven months in a coma.
