‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogan only leads to harmony, not discord: Karnataka high court

The Karnataka high court quashed charges against five men from Mangaluru accused of promoting enmity for chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. Justice M Nagaprasanna stated that the slogan fosters harmony and criticized the misuse of Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code, calling it a counterblast to an earlier complaint.
