Bengali signboards mandatory for Kolkata shops, orders civic body

IndiaTimes Monday, 2 December 2024

The implementation deadline is set for February 21, 2025. This move came after Bengali's recent designation as a classical language by the Centre. Past efforts to enforce similar regulations in 2007 did not succeed.
