SC faults trial judge's move against IPS officer

IndiaTimes Friday, 13 December 2024
The Supreme Court quashed summons issued to former IPS officer Bharti Arora by a trial judge in a 20-year-old case. The court deemed the judge's actions 'predetermined' for repeatedly summoning Arora, who was investigating the Samjhauta blast, despite her explanations. The judge even continued proceedings after transfer, sealing the order for a successor.
