Bengaluru techie duped of Rs 1.2 crore in online trading scam

A Bengaluru software engineer lost ₹1.2 crore to a stock market trading scam. He was lured by a WhatsApp message offering free training in exchange for votes in a competition. He was then added to a Telegram group where fraudsters convinced him to invest, promising high returns. After investing, his account was blocked, and the fraudsters disappeared.
