Dangling OFC claims motorist’s life in Bengaluru; locals call it a menace, seek action

A 23-year-old techie in Bengaluru was killed when his scooter got entangled with a low-hanging optical fibre cable, causing him to fall under a BMTC bus, which ran over him. The police have arrested and released the bus driver on bail, and are investigating the responsible cable company. Residents complain of persistent safety hazards from overhead cables.
