Deported by US to Panama, 12 illegal migrants reach India
Sunday, 23 February 2025 A group of 12 undocumented Indian immigrants deported from the US to Panama reached Delhi, facilitated by the International Organisation for Migration. This comes after the deportation of 332 others to Amritsar earlier this month. Cases have been registered against travel agents responsible for illegal facilitation.
India has responded after a viral video showed US deportees, including Indians, crying for help from a hotel in Panama where they are being held.
