Over 30 thousand taxpayers list Rs 29,000 crore foreign assets on CBDT nudge

Over 30,000 taxpayers have disclosed more than Rs 29,000 crore worth of foreign assets after a CBDT campaign. Additionally, 6,734 taxpayers changed their status from residents to non-residents. The campaign, launched in November, included outreach via emails and text messages to encourage compliance in declaring foreign income and assets.
