Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai, ex-governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, party leaders arrested during alleged TASMAC scam protest in Chennai

BJP state president K Annamalai was arrested by Chennai police while heading to Egmore for a protest against the TASMAC scam. Former Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and other senior party leaders were also detained. Police blocked the residences of BJP state and district office-bearers from 7 am onwards, arresting them as soon as they attempted to leave for the protest.
