Centre OKs Rs 4.5k-crore 6-lane NH linking JNPT & Old Pune highway

The Union cabinet has approved a new 6-lane highway connecting Jawaharlal Nehru Port with Chowk village on the Old Pune highway. Estimated to cost Rs 4,500 crore, this 29-km project aims to enhance connectivity and reduce congestion. The highway, to be built within 30 months, will include major bridges, elevated stretches, and tunnels for smoother transit.
